We left Borroloola this morning and we going to Lorella Springs for a few nights. We are travelling along the Savannah Way. The roads are corrugated so it took us about four hours to get there. We had to cross some creek crossings.
We have no power here, but we can still use our lights as they work by the batteries, and we have our gas stove. We can use our cob cooker so tonight we made bread, as there are no shops here.
The toilets and showers are for both men and women to share. Each toilet/shower only has a shower curtain. There is only one hot shower, which is produced by a donkey boiler, which means if you want a shower, you need to stoke the fire with some wood about one hour before.
The kids are having a ball as there as there are springs here to swim in. The temperature is 27 degrees.
We have travelled here with some friends that we were at Borroloola with, who have a son and daughter Jesse and Emily’s age.
