On Monday we drove to Barkly Homestead Roadhouse. On the way we stopped at Tennat Creek to get a few things. David needed some beer, we had to wait a while as the bottle shops don't open until 2.00pm.
We are staying at Barkley Homestead Roadhouse overnight. Which is on the Barkly Hwy. It was hot so the kids got to have a swim in the pool.
The toilet facilities here are very grotty, so we are glad we are only here overnight.
Tuesday morning we left Barkley Homestead Roadhouse and are driving to Cape Crawford which is on the corner of Tablelands Hwy and Carpentaria Hwy.
On the way to Cape Crawford we could hear a noise coming from outside the car. We stopped the car and realised we had no tyre left on one of the caravan wheels. We did not even feel it. We were driving on the alloy wheel rim. It was really windy while David was changing the tyre and there was lots of those bindy prickles everywhere.
There was no where in Cape Crawford to buy a new spare wheel, so we have to wait until we get to Borroloola tomorrow.
We are staying here overnight at heading to Borroloola on Wednesday morning.
