Dalhousie Springs

Sunday 1st June

We are going to go to Dalhousie Springs today. We will leave our caravan at Oodnadatta as the road to Dalhousie is very rough. The roads kept changing along the way; they went from corrugated to sandy to rocky. It took us 3.5 hours to get there. We are so glad we did not take our van as the roads are too rough. We stopped along the way to look at some old ruins.

The water at Dalhousie Springs is 37 degrees, it is just like being in spa. It was just beautiful. Emily got scared as there is little fish in the water that nibble at your toes. We have our tent with us so we have decided to stay here the night. We forgot to bring our pillows so we have to use our beach towels. We did not bring too much food with us as we did not think we would stay the night. All we have with us is plenty of water, bread, vegemite and peanut butter. We had to have sandwiches for lunch, dinner and breakfast the next morning. The mozzies are bad here at night time so we spent the night in the tent. As there was not much to do we all went to bed very early, also we were tired from swimming. Sometimes I think we are like the Grizwalds.
