Saturday 25th October
We left Perth this morning, the weather is still not very nice. It is cold now. Time to dig the winter clothes back out of the cupboards.
We are driving today to Margaret River which is about four hours away.

Perth
Friday 24th October
The weather has started to get cold and it has started to rain. It is the first rain we have seen for ages. It rained on and off all day and night long. We felt like we were back in Melbourne with this weather.
We went to Scarborough Surf beach today although it was cold.
It is a really nice beachside place. We really like it here, the beach is really nice and it has a nice atmosphere.

Thursday 23rd October
On Thursday we went back into Perth to collect our mail from the Post Office.
We ended up taking the kids to Mcdonalds for lunch as it is Emily’s favourite food.

Wednesday 22nd October
On Wednesday we went into Freemantle. It seemed like an old place with old buildings. It was not as nice as Perth. We had another day of walking around.
We went to see the old Prison and the Freemantle Markets but they were not open. We ended up going to see a movie in Freemantle cinemas.
We then went for a drive around Freemantle for a look.

On Wednesday we went into Freemantle. It seemed like an old place with old buildings. It was not as nice as Perth. We had another day of walking around.
We went to see the old Prison and the Freemantle Markets but they were not open. We ended up going to see a movie in Freemantle cinemas.
We then went for a drive around Freemantle for a look.

Monday 20th October - Tuesday 21st October
We arrived in Perth this afternoon. We are staying at the Karrinyup Waters Resort for five nights.
The weather is nice and warm and they have a pool, a large spa. They have a lake here at the caravan park so there is lots of ducks all over the place. It is a good park for Jesse and Emily as they have a jumping pillow and playground. There is also lots of kids here to play.
On Tuesday we went into Perth it is a really nice city Perth. They have some nice gardens in the city and the Swan River.
We went to see London Court. It was built in 1937. It is a small pedestrian street with small shops and cafes. It has two clocks either end that strike every 15 minutes. We then walked to the Bell Tower which has 18 bells and is the largest ringing instrument in the world.
We went and ate our lunch in one of the gardens.
Afterwards we went to the Perth Mint which was established in 1899. We did not do the tour as you had to pay to do a tour of the place.
We did so much walking today we were all pretty tired afterwards.

Jurien Bay
Saturday 18th
We left Kalbarri this morning. We drove to Geraldton and stopped for lunch and had a look around. We were going to stay here but decided to keep going and stay at Jurien Bay.
We are staying at Jurien Bay Tourist Park. It has a big jumping pillow here for the kids.
It is a really nice coastal town here. The beach is one of the nicest we have seen so far.
On Sunday we went for a drive to Cervantes to see the Pinnacles Desert which is in the Nambung National Park.
They are limestone pillars that have mysteriously rose from the sand dunes.
It's believed the Pinnacles were created millions of years ago as seashells were broken down into sand and then eroded by water and wind.

KALBARRI

We arrived at Kalbarri today. We are staying here for two nights at Murchison Caravan Park.
The weather is still hot but not as hot as it was up north. The nights are cooler also.
Jesse and Emily ran into a friend that they had met a while ago so they are happy.
We went to buy some fish and chips for lunch, and they were awful. We were not happy because it cost us $60 and when you are travelling you don't eat much takeaway. It is like a treat.
On Friday we went for a drive around Kalbarri and to the beach. They have some gorges here but we didn’t bother going to see them.
